Workshop 2: Future of a Nordic youth movement

What would an ideal future look like for the Nordic youth? A Stronger Nordic youth movement continues with its second workshop in Copenhagen on 15th to 17th of November this fall!

The workshop will build on the results from the first workshop organized in March 2024. We will go into what support and opportunities young people in the Nordics  feel they need, to have better opportunities to take part in civil society and decision-making. During the workshop we will work on a visions for the perfect world in the future for youth participation and involvement.

This workshop is a part of a two-year-joint Erasmus+-project, which aims to create a sense of a larger community, and support youth organizations to be more independent and active in their role as civic organizations. Through cooperation and capacity building we will be able to support each other to create more interest in cross-border cooperation, mobility, active citizenship and democracy. Our main objective during the project is to create concrete recommendations to reach these goals! At the same time we will be creating spaces for exchange of experiences, and peer support.

Who can apply? You can apply if you are 18–29 years old and reside in one of the Nordic countries. Participants will be selected based on motivations taking gender and geographical balance into consideration. We hope to include young individuals from diverse backgrounds – you do not need prior knowledge or experience in civil society! Note that there are limited spots available, and we will inform all applicants if they were chosen to participate, after the application period.

Registration is open from 30th of September to 27 October 2024 . Please share your motivation for participating in the workshop in the registration form.

Participation in the workshop is free, and we will cover some of the participants’ travel expenses. We will send detailed travel instructions and conditions to selected participants after the application period. The meals included in the program are covered by the organizers. Participants are responsible for any other meals during travel and the event.
